Water Distribution – Rural Piped Water Supply Schemes – JAL JEEVAN MISSION (JJM)

As a basic requirement for life, drinking water is a necessity that should be made available for all people. Individuals in rural and remote areas are especially struggling with inadequate water as they largely depend on local sources, which also raises the question about its quality. Lack of freshwater sources in tandem with the decline of groundwater has caused major problems in rural India. Thus, to overcome this problem sustainably, our honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji and the Government of India have started the revolutionary Rural Piped Water Supply Schemes under the JAL JEEVAN MISSION (JJM)

Until fairly recently, the piped water supply was largely confined to the urban areas. However, with several Rural Piped Water Supply Schemes making pure water available in every rural household, the distant dream is slowly becoming a reality. At HES Water Engineers India, we are proud to be a part of this project that has changed the life and the standard of living in millions of villages across the rural/remote areas in India.
